July 2025 Newsletter
Ministry Partners,
Dianne and I sincerely appreciate your support. Without your financial support and assistance in many other ways, Exploring the Bible would not be able to effectively minister to individuals, pastors, and churches.
Here is an update on the ministry. You have chosen to partner with Exploring the Bible Ministries, and without you, all this would not be possible.
· As of May 27, we have completed a total of 35 local in-person Bible lessons since our inception on September 10, 2024. We began with an average attendance of 12-15 each week and finished with an average of 20-25 during May. During this time, we had attendees who represented a total of 13 local churches in the surrounding area.
· We have also livestreamed the Tuesday study on Facebook and YouTube, and continue to host videos on our website through the Sermon audio platform, which has reached a worldwide audience. Recent statistics, year-to-date for 2025, include over 3,000 views. These views have come from 33 different states and 55 countries worldwide.
· I have spoken 30 times since September of last year. This includes preaching 8 times and teaching 22 adult Sunday school lessons.
· Finally, I have also had the privilege to personally meet with and encourage several pastors, elders, and Bible teachers over the last 10 months.
· We have purchased a considerable amount of audio-visual equipment over the last 10 months that enables us to live stream and produce webcasts. We appreciate all the special donors who gave special offerings for the purchase of a video camera in December and January, which has been a significant upgrade to recording with a cell phone.
· We have incorporated as a non-profit para-church ministry in North Carolina and obtained membership in IFCA International, which is an association of independent churches, schools, and para-church ministries. Our membership includes 501 (c) (3) status under the IFCA umbrella and allows donors to make tax-deductible contributions to the ministry.
Once again, thank you all for your financial support, prayers, encouragement, and assistance. This includes every one of you.
Also, I would like to thank the following people.
· Don Curry for upgrading my PowerPoint presentations and providing an opening time of church history info, music, and commentary each week.
· Robbie Ray for providing technical assistance with recording and live streaming.
· Andy Cain for his work on the website and putting videos on Sermon Audio.
· Ken Overby of Jewish Awareness Ministries for allowing us to use their facilities for our weekly meetings.
We will resume our Tuesday meetings on August 12 with a new study on the topic of forgiving others and being forgiven by those we have offended or hurt.
We are excited about what is on the horizon. Continue to pray for the Lord’s blessing as we begin a new segment of Exploring the Bible.
With Appreciation,
Jay and Dianne Waggoner
